SDJC Charitable Foundation

What is the SDJC Charitable Foundation?  Many people ask this question and many people wonder what the answer will be.  Well the SDJC Charitable Foundation is all about helping others the best we can.  We are a non-profit organization that consists of 13 voting trustees.  We have 4 officers; president, vice-president, secretary and a treasurer.  Other trustees consist of current Jaycee members and SDCJ Senators.  We help organizations in need of financial assistance when we can, others have asked us to help in applying for grants and we have also ran some fun fundraisers to bring in funds, that in turn goes back to help the SDJC, just to name a few things.

We currently own the building that the SDJC State Office in Mitchell is located, where much history is kept.  This past summer we hosted a 75th Anniversary celebration for the SDJC, and we had many present and past Jaycees attend who shared many interesting stories of when they were a SDJC member.  Lots of pictures, books, shirts, etc. where on display.  We did some tours to the State Office, where many past state and national awards and plaques were on display, many enjoyed the reminiscing time together.  It was a wonderful event.

There is always a Foundation member at most SDJC events and conventions.  We are always here to help if we can, so please don’t hesitate to give us a call, or stop and talk with us.  We always like to hear from everyone on what’s going on around the state.

Watch for the next convention details, as we are planning to hold a Silent Auction/Chinese Auction.  It’s going to be a lot of fun!!!

Sincerely in Jaycees,
