SD JCI Senate
Hi from the South Dakota Senate,
How many South Dakota Jaycees know what a JCI Senatorship is? A Senatorship is the highest honor a
Jaycee can receive after being an active member of the Jaycees for a minimum of five years?
How many Jaycees know that your local chapter awards you this honor as surprise for the service
you have done for the Jaycees in those 5 or more years? To find out how to become a Senator or to
nominate a present Jaycee of former Jaycee, please give any officer in the Senate a call.
The South Dakota JCI (Junior Chamber International) Senate is made up of 319 men and women who
have given more than 5 years of service each over the years….many have served in all offices on the
local level and State level, and many of them have gone on and served on the National level….not only
as officers but program managers starting out as a local member working on Community Development
and Management Development projects and attending Individual Development programs such as Time,
Personal and Financial Dynamics.
The SD JCI Senators are here to help you through training and mentoring. All you need do is ask for our
help at any time. We will be willing to help in most any area.
Congratulations to all the award winners at your national convention in Chicago. We look forward to
seeing you at your conventions. The senators also meet on the same weekend as you do. Stop in and
see us. Pick our brains. We love to talk about the Jaycees!
