2012 Letter of Intent
Hello South Dakota Jaycees!
I am very excited, proud and humbled by the support I have received in my nomination for 2012 South Dakota Jaycee State President. No words can ever express everything this organization has done for me and my family. Now it is my time to give back what I can.
There are a lot of you out there that I know, that I have served with, that I have worked with, have been with through sweat and tears. There are those of you I call my friend, my brother and my sister. There are also those of you that I want to get to know, that I want to build that friendship with, and help you and your chapters where I can. And there are also those of you I have never met yet, and I hope to change that within the next 18 months. And for all of you, I want to do what I can do ensure that this organization is here for you and those that will come after you.
With many things that I have experienced over this past year, you learn so much about yourself and all those around you. You see how in a lot of ways, it takes a very bad or very good event to bring people together. I relish in the good times, and cry with you in the bad, but I also want to focus on everything else in between. We need a balance that will bring us back to the Jaycee family that we were always meant to be.
I can’t make you promises that could be broken. I can’t give you miracles that have no guarantee. But I can give you my word that I will be a leader and a friend and do the best job that I can for you. It is time to rise to new expectations of greatness for the South Dakota Jaycees, will you rise with me? I hope the answer is yes, because we are the greatest organization in the world and I would be honored to lead you in 2012!
Time for balance, Time for flight, Vote for Freestone and Reunite!
Thank you for your support,
Jamie Freestone
